Surrey Youth Resource Centres

For SEY, Reconnect, LINKS and AGE, volunteers would need to be working toward meeting the educational and experience requirements that we have for staff; they are volunteering as part of achieving their career path goals.  Should a volunteer be accepted, duties may include:

LINKS/AGE:

  • support with academics
  • participation and support with activities, including supporting youth to self-manage behaviours
  • support with foods class, lunch program

Reconnect:

  • accompany staff on outreach
  • become familiar with services to connect youth to

Stop Exploiting Youth (SEY):

  • participate in developing awareness activities
*(volunteers are not assigned client-care duties)

The four programs are all based out of the Surrey Youth Resource Centre, Guildford.

As a side note, any practicum students are welcome to inquire, and are likely to be offered a placement should their skills be a good match for the program.
