The Surrey Community Outreach Program for Employment (SCOPE) is a no cost community service that supports individuals toward greater community connection, and offers one to one support and job search assistance to help participant secure employment.

Program Features

SCOPE offers a wide range of services and supports such as:

  • Case management services to assist in next step planning, which could include training, work experience, job development support for eligible persons
  • Free workshops on topics such as housing and shelter, health an self-care, effective communication, budgeting, job search techniques, resumes, cover letters and interview skills.
  • A resource room with phone and computer access for job, housing search purposes.

Based on eligibility, we can also assist with

  • Wage subsidy
  • Possible job placement
  • Financial job start support

Program Details

WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

Unemployed British Columbians over the age of 16 legally entitled to work in Canada.

LOCATIONS

SCOPE services the Whalley and Fleeetwood/Guilford areas. It is located at 10326 Whalley Boulevard. Close to Skytrain and accessible by bus routes near King George and 104 Ave.

WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT?

SCOPE participants meet with our staff members one on one to determine how to help you best. Job seekers can expect to meet with case managers on a regular basis and can attend workshops and use the resource room to search job opportunities.

Referrals are accepted from WorkBC Employment Services Centres, Communtiy Organizations, Government Agencies, self-referrals. Call 604-951-1300, or come into centre Monday to Friday 8:30 to 4:30 (Resource Room closes at 3:00 pm)
