CAPS provides effective and coordinated alcohol and drug prevention and treatment services for adults, youth, and families living in Chilliwack.

Program Features

Chilliwack Addictions and Prevention Services (CAPS) is a non-judgmental program that works with participants to find the right service to meet their needs.

The program offers a range of options, depending on the need of the participant, including:

  • Individual and group counselling for adults and youth experiencing or affected by alcohol and drugs
  • Secondary prevention and early intervention programming to people who are misusing drugs
  • Substance affected counselling for people that are not using drugs or alcohol, but instead affected by the use of someone they care about
  • Referrals to other programs such as in-patient treatment at Fraser Health approved facilities.

Program Details


Individuals who wish to change their relationship with alcohol and/or drugs. We have both adult counselling options for people 19 and up, as well as counselling for youth aged 12 -24.

Individual counselling is offered to help people create goal centred plans. Referrals can also be made for group, office-based and outreach counselling.

How To Apply

Adults seeking service are encouraged to call our mainline: 604-795-5994 and complete an over-the-phone or in person intake screener. This is followed by a group and individual orientation every Tuesday at 2:00 pm as well as the first Wednesday of every month at 6:00 pm.

Youth, please contact our mainline: 604-795-5994 to be set up directly with the appropriate counsellor.
