The Annis Residence provides 22 individual units and offers tenants access to supportive services aimed at helping them obtain long-term housing and lead healthy engaged lives.

Program Features

The Annis is a caring community that helps participants by providing housing and life supports so that they can be successful in their search for long-term housing.
Our staff work with participants to access the services they need, and offer referrals to

  • Addictions counselling
  • Employment services
  • Education
  • Training programs

Participants may stay at the Annis Residence for up to 2 years.

Program Details

WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

Adults (age 19 and up) who

  • Have lived in Chilliwack for at least 6 months
  • Are currently homeless or at risk of being homeless
  • Are no longer using drugs and alcohol

As part of the referral process, Annis requires clear assessment of any risk factors that could harm the participant or other residents living at Annis. This includes 30 days clean of any drug and or alcohol use prior to entry.

WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT?

The Annis offers individual living suite with a private bathroom. Residents have access to laundry, community gardens, communal kitchen, and common lounges.

Each participant will be assigned a case manager that works with them to develop a personal goal plan for their stay at the Annis residence. Case plans can include strategies for:

  • Basic life skills
  • Drug and Alcohol counselling
  • Employment counselling
  • Preventive HIV/HCV and STI education
  • Finding community supports including primary care and mental health
