IRAYL

IRAYL is a unique partnership/youth outreach program providing support and resources to youth who gather together on and around the Skytrain stations in the Lower Mainland. Youth outreach workers identify and connect with targeted youth ages 10 – 15 and build relationships. Youth are provided with resources, food, and other items as part of a cross-regional crime reduction initiative.

ACCESS

The program does not provide one to one service, therefore community agencies send in “request for service and support” forms as well as self referrals from youth.

Service is provided along the Expo, Millennium, and Canada Lines Monday to Friday from 12:00pm to 11:00pm

PROGRAM FEATURES

  • Teams of experienced youth workers on the sky train 5 days a week; 11 hours per day

  • Support to find missing and hard to find youth

  • Referrals to resources for youth to access needed services

  • Cross regional connections with Vancouver, Burnaby, Surrey, New Westminster and Richmond
