Career Quest

Career Quest is an innovative career planning program designed to assist youth between the ages of 15 and 30 to make informed career decisions. Career Quest counsellors are committed to helping participants explore their career options and develop a realistic plan to pursue and achieve their educational and career goals.

PROGRAM FEATURES

  • FREE 2 to 6 week personalized career planning program
  • Friendly, knowledgeable staff
  • Continuous intake model.  Participants can enter the program at the start of each week
  • Participants are able to customize their learning by identifying and scheduling workshops as needed in consultation with their Career Counsellor
  • Access to computers, Internet, fax machine, photocopies and a resource library
Career Assessments

We offer a number of assessments that provide information and possible career choices so participants can make an informed career choice, including:
  • Myers-Brigg Type Indicator (MBTI)
  • Strong interest inventory
  • Personality dimensions
  • Canadian Adult Achievement Test (CAAT)
  • Skills and Values

  • Occupational Research and Career Exploration
  • Labour Market information
  • Internet research
  • Financial planning


Psychometrics MBTI Certified

ACCESS

A referral from a local Employment Resource Centre is required to attend the program.  Find your closest Employment Resource Centre. Follow the link and go to Case Management Services. You can also ask a staff member at Career Quest.

Participants meeting the eligibility requirements are encouraged to contact the program for more information.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
- Seat preference is initially given to those 15 to 30 years of age
- You must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Unemployed or underemployed individuals (work less than 20 hours per week)
- Have an English level sufficient to understand program content

HOURS
Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm
(Resource Room closed at 4:00)
- Morning Workshops are from 9 am to 12 pm
- Afternoon Workshops are from 12:30 pm to 3 pm
