FYI Program: Family & Youth Information and Support for FASD and Complex Needs
|
The FYI Program provides support to families with youth, aged 12 - 18 years, affected by Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) and other complex needs. The FYI Program Social Worker provides information, support, parenting strategies, service coordination, partnership and advocacy to enable families to provide enhanced care to their youth. The FYI Program works in partnership with families to assist them to meet the needs of the FAS affected youth. |

The FYI Program assists families to have strong and comprehensive care teams engaged in meeting the needs identified by the family. It provides consultation to community services to enhance knowledge of the effects of FASD. Please contact the program's social worker to arrange consultation appointments. |

Who is Eligible? |
||
|
Families who have a youth with a diagnosis in the FASD range or other Complex Developmental Behaviour Conditions are appropriate for FYI Program services.

If the youth has been diagnosed with an FASD or Complex Need, referrals can be made directly to the FYI Program Social Worker. If the youth has not been diagnosed, referrals can be made to the FHAN by the youth pediatrician to:
